Bethune-Cookman University graduates have a streamlined path to admission to the University of Tampa Masters program.
B-CU Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts students with specific teaching qualifications receive special admission privileges for Tampa’s Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. Applicants’ application fees as well as required references and résumés are waived.

“Academic strategic partnerships like our relationship with UT create unique benefits that further enhance the B-CU University’s academic experience,” said William Berry, senior vice president of academic affairs / Provost. “Our goal is still to find ways to expand academic and professional opportunities for our students.”
The program focuses on curriculum theory, pedagogy and innovation in education, educational advocacy, social dimensions of learning, classroom design, leadership and research.
“UT’s reputation for curriculum quality and real-world results sets it apart from graduate education programs,” said Theoni Soublis, professor of education and director of the Masters program in Tampa. “This partnership provides Bethune Cookman students with a prestigious degree that will benefit them throughout their careers.”
