The Lee County Port Authority announced on Monday that United Airlines will offer new non-stop flights between Fort Myers and Los Angeles and San Francisco from December 16, 2021. This is the first time in the airport’s history that Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) will provide nonstop service to San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and a new nonstop option to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The daily flights for both markets will be offered seasonally from December 16, 2021 to May 5, 2022.
“We’re excited to announce that United Airlines will provide non-stop service from Southwest Florida International Airport to the West Coast,” said Ben Siegel, CPA, CM, executive director of the Lee County Port Authority. “The service to San Francisco is high on the list of non-stop destinations in our community, and the new non-stop option to Los Angeles has been well received by travelers as well.”
