Supreme Court teams up with pipeline companies in land dispute – Tampa, Florida

Washington – The Supreme Court upheld the pipeline company in a land dispute with New Jersey over the land needed for a natural gas pipeline.

PennEast Pipeline Co. rule 5-4 includes both liberal and conservative judges.

The proposed 116 mile pipeline runs from Lucerne County, Pennsylvania, to Mercer County, New Jersey.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission cleared the Penn East Project to proceed in 2018, but the process has continued.

Tuesday’s High Court decision does not end the ongoing proceedings. Another appeal, including New Jersey, is pending in the US Court of Appeals in Washington.
