Dead body of missing UNG student found

Authorities are looking for a missing University of North Georgia student whose car was found near Woody Gap.

Lucas Baxter, 18, was last seen on the school campus in Dahlonega on Friday, October 22nd.

The university said Baxter’s family were “concerned about him,” and the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office has requested information to help locate him.

Baxter is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs about 145 pounds. He has blue eyes and brown hair.

The sheriff’s office said Baxter could wear round glasses. When Baxter went missing, he wore a tie-dye shirt with a woven bag chain, a gray striped hoodie, and a black backpack.
