A man from Southwest Florida travels to Washington DC to protest the Cuban government

WASHINGTON DC – Protesters gathered outside the White House Saturday calling on the United States to crack down on the Cuban government.

A Cuban from southwest Florida traveled all the way to Washington DC to be there. Johnny Navarro from Clewiston provided us with videos of these protests.

Hundreds came to the demonstration from all over the country. Navarro said he speaks for many of his relatives in Cuba who are afraid to speak out against the government.

“I’m doing this for my grandparents who traveled here to give me a better life. I actually brought one of them here today. My grandfather Ereveto Cruz to overthrow the Castro regime was captured and later fled. Ereveto Cruz, we love you guys, “said Navarro.

Navarro said he is also encouraging people to support the protests online by using #SOSCuba in their posts.
