NAPLES, Florida (July 29, 2021) – The Conservancy of Southwest Florida will host the 28th RedSnook Catch & Release Charity Fishing Tournament October 8-10, to celebrate the Conservancy’s commitment to protecting, maintaining and improving water quality from local fishing.
The Friday Night Kickoff Party returns this year after a year of hiatus due to the pandemic on Friday October 8th at 5:30 p.m. at The Florida Sports Park, 8520 Rattlesnake Hammock Rd, Naples. The fishing tournament will take place on October 9th and 10th with starting places in Naples, Goodland and Chokoloskee.
“Yes, the RedSnook Catch and Release is a fishing tournament, but it’s really just about the importance of WATER to our quality of life here in southwest Florida,” said event title sponsor and chairman Wayne Meland. “Without clean and abundant water supplies, great fishing, beach days, boating and rising property values will be a thing of the past. The tournament supports the work of the Conservancy to keep our waters clean and to maintain our quality of life.”
Previous sponsors include title sponsors Meland Kahl Wealth Management and the Tompkins Family; Apparel sponsor RGM Capital; Starting place sponsored by Kukk Architecture & Design; Oliver Rogers Photography and Papas Pilar Rum; Tournament and Kickoff Sponsors Collins Vision, Newbury North Associates, Surf & Turf Custom, Sticky Holsters Hell’s Bay Boatworks, Cogent Bank, Northern Trust, Quarles & Brady, MANG, Dustin Beard Team – William Raveis, Mokey Shea and YETI.
