TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) – Seeking to save lives in the fight against COVID-19, the CDC is recommending indoor masks even for those vaccinated in counties where cases are on the rise.
Companies try to understand what that means for them.
The Railroad Square Craft House in Tallahassee said it will go ahead as usual, asking for masks for people who have not yet been vaccinated.
As for the first Friday on the square, they also stick to their rules and only ask for masks for unvaccinated people.
However, the organizers ask everyone who enters a store to put on masks.
“I mean, it’s incredibly worrying for both business owners and individuals,” said Adam Kaye, owner of Railroad Square. “But the same thing that helped us before we had the vaccine helps us now, which is that Railroad Square is a very socially distant place in the open air.”
Kaye said she saw 8,000 guests during her first two First Friday events and hopes those numbers will continue to rise.
