Throughout the night, guests experience the food, drink and entertainment of the five regions represented by the five rings of the Olympic Games. This includes America – which includes North and South America – Asia, Europe, Africa, and Oceania.
People can expect dishes like South American pork carnitas, Polish pierogi, Taiwanese pork belly bao buns, shiitake mushrooms, Australian grilled snags, and Angolan muamba chicken. A range of international beers and wines will also be sold at the event.
Historic moments from the Olympic Games are shown along with performances of cultural sports and dances.
Lynch said the venue has partnered with Brenau University to offer a live show of fencing, Brazilian wrestling and traditional African dancing.
“You will really be able to experience the world,” said Lynch.
The night continues at 8 p.m. with a concert by We Got the Beat. The band will perform pop and country hits. The event ends with a fireworks display at 10 p.m.
“This was a huge community achievement in 1996, so it really is something that the whole community can celebrate,” Lynch said.
