The folks behind LowBrow Pizza & Beer are planning a one-stop barbeque shop in a business park on Old 41 Road in North Naples.

Barely a year since Chef Chris Jones and Industry Beer & Barbecue founded on the Bayfront of Naples, the same team signed a lease with plans to build on their smacking success with Industry – The BBQ Shop in the industrial park on Collier Center Way , about a mile south of the Collier-Lee county line. “We’re going to be selling the same goods that we make and cook,” said Jones. “Everything we use for grilling and more.”

Not only will it be the North Naples version of the Industry Grill Restaurant and a take away lunch or dinner spot, but there will also be a retail store similar to Jimmy P’s Butcher Shop, but instead geared towards barbecue only. Home grill chefs can buy the same racks of ribs, pork butts, homemade sausages, chicken, pork belly, sauces, rubs and condiments used by Industry Beer & Barbecue, as well as fuel, wood, charcoal, pellet pellet, pits, what Anyway, said Mr. Jones. Backyard smokers can even advance from the pits to pit boss status, with professional guidance on authentic stick-burning grilling and more through The BBQ Shop’s two-day course.

“We’re going to go over everything we do to make our barbecue so you can do it at home,” said Mr. Jones. Those who aren’t that resourceful can buy an entire cooked brisket there or hire a pit crew to organize an event and bring you the barbecue.

The new location will also serve as a commercial kitchen and central catering operation for the growth of the local company’s three existing restaurants: LowBrow in East Naples, Industry Beer & Barbecue in Naples and Industry Pizza & Slice Shop in North Naples. First of all, they share the kitchen space with another catering kitchen. Their ghost kitchen will first open later this month for takeaway and delivery cooking. The store is slated to open in April.

“It’s going to be a big game changer for sure,” said Mr. Jones, who knows all the numbers and knows that the demand for his new business is there. He saw firsthand how LowBrow takeaway orders rose from 10-12% before the pandemic to 40-45% now. “We did a good job at LowBrow,” he said. “We now have loyal customers for it.”

In addition to expanding locally, Mr. Jones recently renovated Industry Pizza on Pine Ridge Road. The restaurant added more than 20 outdoor seating by expanding it into a landscaped area in front of the eatery.
