On Friday afternoon, based on updated CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19, the city of Tallahassee sent out a memo asking “all city employees and contractors / vendors / volunteers” to wear masks indoors.
The policy change comes amid an increase in positive COVID cases and an increase in hospital admissions in Leon County.
The change also comes days after the Leon County’s government revised its policy of having COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of employment.
Tallahassee City’s Masking Policy applies to vaccinated and unvaccinated employees who “work inside city buildings, attend off-site events, drive / drive in city vehicles, and when outside but unable to do so, at least six feet To keep your distance ”.
