Florida International University (FIU) invites its network of alumni, students and friends to an evening reception to celebrate the summer and 125th anniversary of Miami on Wednesday, July 28th at 5 p.m. at Florida House in Washington, DC, to celebrate
125 years ago, on July 28th, “The City of Miami” was founded with a population of 444. Today it is a globally engaged community and an incubator for innovation and talent. Miami is a city of the future and the FIU is proud to be its public research university.
Join us as we greet the new class of 2025, wrap up an amazing summer with internships, and celebrate our hometown with Miami-themed drinks and bites. Come and mingle with other Miamians in the district.
