ST. PETERSBURG – An argument between two men escalated into a shootout which, according to St. Petersburg police, resulted in one of them being hospitalized on Thursday evening.
The incident began as an argument in the parking lot at 4122 16th Street N around 7 p.m., police said.
As the argument escalated, one man drew a gun and shot the other, police said. The men are said to have known each other before the argument.
The extent of the injuries to the man who was shot is not yet known, the police said.
Further details about the shootings have not been released. However, one suspect is on remand and is being questioned by the police.
