The weather forecast for Gainesville has more summer showers in Florida

The National Weather Service is forecasting a 50% or more chance of rain every day for this week.

True to Florida’s rainy summer season, Gainesville residents can expect high chances of rainfall throughout the week, especially in the early afternoon on Monday and Tuesday.

The National Weather Service forecast on Sunday that temperatures will be particularly hot on Monday. Although the high is predicted to be 91, the heat will feel more like 102 due to the added humidity. For the rest of the week, the high temperatures are estimated to be in the high 80s and low 90s during the day, while the low temperatures will be in the mid 70s.

Here’s a look at the forecast for this week:

Monday: Partly sunny, with a 70% chance of rain, and showers and thunderstorms throughout the day, but likely between noon and 4pm, which is less than a tenth of an inch of rain. High temperatures around 91, but with humidity up to 102.

Monday night: Mostly cloudy, with a slight southerly wind, 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms, especially before 8 p.m. and low temperatures around 74.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a 70% chance of rain and showers and thunderstorms that are possible after 8am, but probably after 2pm.

Tuesday night: Mostly cloudy with a 60% chance of rain and showers and thunderstorms until 2am, but probably before 8pm. Low temperatures near 74.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a 70% chance of rain, showers and thunderstorms, probably after 8 a.m. and high temperatures around 90.

Wednesday night: Mostly cloudy, with a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms, and low temperatures close to 74.

Thursday: Partly sunny, with a 70% chance of rain, showers and thunderstorms and high temperatures around 89.

Thursday night: Mostly cloudy, with a 20% chance for showers and thunderstorms and low temperatures close to 74.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms and high temperatures around 91.

Friday night: Partly cloudy with low temperatures close to 75.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms and high temperatures around 91.
