With the recent surge in Covid-19 infections and hospital stays, Miami-Dade County and Nomi Health are looking to meet the growing demand for tests and vaccinations by extending local hours and hiring additional staff.

“We are extremely concerned about this new wave of COVID cases in Miami-Dade,” said Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava. “The numbers are very clear: the vast majority of those who end up in hospital because of COVID are unvaccinated.” We call on everyone who is still unvaccinated to get the vaccination as soon as possible to protect themselves and their loved ones. ”

As the highly contagious Delta variant and others become the more common Covd-19 strains, the county is also encouraging everyone, not just those who are not vaccinated, to mask themselves.

“We also strongly encourage anyone to wear masks and get tested in large crowds or around people they don’t know are vaccinated if they have Covid-19 symptoms,” Mayor Levine said Cava. “We have come too far and made too much progress to come back now.”

Pre-registration is not required for vaccinations, but is encouraged. IDs and insurance cards are also recommended but are not required. For the latest information on Florida eligibility criteria, visit: https://floridahealthcovid19.gov/vaccines/

Symptoms are not required for the examination, but photo identification is requested. Insurance cards are welcome, but not required. There are tests for both children and adults. There are no public toilets and tests are available to everyone regardless of where you live.
