Flood Watch in effect for Miami-Dade, Broward as rain odds remain high for the next few days – NBC 6 South Florida

Flood Watch in effect for Miami-Dade, Broward as rain odds remain high for the next few days - NBC 6 South Florida

If you plan to go outside on Saturday, pack an umbrella.

Most Miami-Dade and Broward counties are on a flood watch until Monday evening.

Widespread rainfall of 2 to 4 inches is expected over the next few days with an even higher target, especially in the afternoon hours.

Expect highs at 90 ° on Saturday and Sunday.

One reason for the higher chances of rain is a low pressure area off the southeast coast of the United States.

The NHC now has a 50 percent chance that tropical cyclones will develop in the next five days. Regardless of the development, this system will increase our chances of rain this weekend.

Next weekend could be a lot drier as some Saharan dust moves across the Atlantic towards Florida.
