In the summer, millions of projects are running in Collier County, Naples

Growth – like progress – seems unstoppable.

Even during a global pandemic, new commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects have sprung up, while others have advanced in Collier County over the past year.

Summer won’t be any different as more multi-million dollar residential and commercial projects get underway, move forward, and get closer to reality.

Many of the big projects have been on the drawing board for years.

Here are just a few to watch out for in the coming months in Collier County:

Rural villages and a city

Collier County’s commissioners are about to vote on two more rural villages proposed by Collier Enterprises. At the same time, they will consider a city plan that would tie the two villages to a third proposed by the same developer. They have sparked controversy because of their location in the Rural Lands Stewardship Area (RLSA).

While Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts has not yet publicly expressed its interest, the Athens Group has confirmed that it has a letter of intent for the world-renowned brand to operate the five-star resort.

A sale of the property is still pending.
