Car slams into restaurant in NW Miami, injuring several people - CBS Miami

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Several people received medical attention Friday afternoon after a car drove into a Miami restaurant.

It happened just after 6:30 p.m. at the Don Cameron Seafood and Grill Restaurant on 5:01 NW 37th Avenue.

Officials said the first unit to arrive found a vehicle in the building and good Samaritans helped injured customers.

The fire department treated several people on site, including 2 young children who were passengers in the car.

Authorities said the driver and three women were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses told police that the driver of the four-door sedan lost control of his vehicle, drove through an undeveloped parking lot, wiped the side of a parking car before ramming it into the restaurant.
