Organizer Linda Priest has two kids in elementary school and said she’d love to see them take part in more activities that they missed out on in the final year of school.

You and other parents are waiting to hear from the Alachua County School Board on whether masks are required or optional for students.

“My personal feeling is that my children are elementary school age and have not been vaccinated,” said Linda Priest. “I would be happy if the children in elementary schools wear them in the classrooms and on buses and maybe let them go free when they want to go out in sports or during recess.”

The school board will meet on August 3rd to vote on the policy.
