Gainesville man convicted of sexually abusing a seven-year-old girl after his mother testifies against him

Frank Jaworski, 42, was convicted on Thursday, December 2, on all 10 counts, including aggravated sexual battery, aggravated sodomy, aggravated child abuse, child abuse and inducing indecent intentions in a child.

The trial was held in Senior Superior Court Judge Joe C. Bishop, who will record the conviction at a later date. Jaworski faces life imprisonment.

Jaworski was accused of molesting the 7-year-old girl in February 2019. The public prosecutor’s office did not provide any information about the relationship between Jaworski and the girl.

According to the indictment, Jaworski took the girl “to a truck parked near his apartment” and lured her.

Brenda Elaine Jaworski, Jaworski’s mother, has been charged with tampering with evidence on charges of damaging Frank Jaworski’s cell phone.

“We suspect there were likely pictures of the abused child on the phone,” said Lee Darragh, district attorney for the Northeastern Judicial Circuit.

Darragh said Brenda Jaworski, 65, had been sentenced to five years probation.

Assistant District Attorney Harold Buckler and Assistant District Attorney Patrick Shuler are pursuing the case.

Defense attorney Brock Johnson did not immediately respond to a request for comment, while Defense attorney Jason Wilson was unavailable for comment on Friday, December 3.
