A Miami Beach man who fatally stabbed his colleague after she repeatedly refused to enter into a relationship with him is charged with murder, authorities said.

Agustin Lucas Mariani, 20, is charged with the murder of 28-year-old Delfina Pan for second-degree murder.

Mariani, who stabbed himself in the incident, is set to be jailed after his release from Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami Beach police officials said Thursday.

According to an arrest report, Mariani and Pan were working together at a local restaurant, and Mariani had made multiple attempts to establish a relationship with Pan who refused his attempts.

Friends said Pan, who was from Argentina and was an aspiring fashion designer and photographer, lived with a childhood friend in an apartment near 73rd Street and Harding Avenue.

On Monday evening, Pan left the restaurant and Mariani left shortly after her, in the middle of his shift, the report said.

According to the arrest report, Mariani, who worked as a bartender, showed up at Pan’s apartment and waited for her, and when she refused to speak to him, he pulled out a knife and stabbed her.

When the officers arrived at the scene, Mariani was lying on top of her and had stabbed her upper body, the report said.

Both were taken to the hospital, where Pan died of their injuries.

Workers at the restaurant discovered that a large knife that was kept at the bar was missing, and the knife matched the description of the knife Mariani had used in the stabbing, the report said.

Loved ones held a memorial service for Pan at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church on Wednesday.

“I feel terrible about it, I thought the least I can do is show my respect,” said neighbor Matessa Dormin.
