A 15-acre property in Florida with several residences, a tennis court, and an animal menagerie went on sale for $ 9.5 million.
The property, dubbed Paradise Gardens, is “a tropical retreat,” according to Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, which launched the property earlier this month.
The solar-powered property, which claims to be “hurricane-proof”, is designed for off-grid living and “offers a rare opportunity to own a quiet, sustainable oasis in Naples,” stockbroker Priscilla Kellerhouse said in a statement.
A 10,000-square-foot salmon-colored house is the primary residence on the site. The five bedroom space has an open floor plan, high ceilings, pillars, and marble floors.
There are also wall frescoes and flexible spaces to display art or sculptures, the listing says.
Owner is Gary Null, a talk radio host, author, and advocate of alternative medicine – as extreme as natural cancer cures – according to PropertyShark records.
It is not clear when Mr. Zero, 76, bought the house and was not available for comment.
Outside the main house there are two guest houses, a caretaker’s house, a fitness area, a tennis court and outdoor pavilions.
“From the modern residences to the lush acreage, it’s the perfect setting for a family complex or a company headquarters,” said Ms. Kellerhouse.
The green grounds are home to jogging trails, a large pond with hundreds of Japanese koi, water features, meditation gardens, and part of the property is home to monkeys, peacocks, chickens, and other animals.
Featuring a huge collection of trees and plants, the site features one of the finest examples of unique trees and tropical gardens in Naples, Sotheby’s said, adding that the owner’s hobby is landscape architecture.
Property values in Naples on the southwest coast of Florida have risen by more than 25% in the past year, according to realtor.com.
