GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – A new deputy city council began operating in Gainesville today.

Andrea Agha takes over from Phil Mann, who acted as deputy city manager on an interim basis.

Her duties include overseeing technology, transportation, public works, and other departments.

Most recently she was CEO of the Village of Key Biscayne.
