GAINESVILLE, Florida (WCJB) – Several parks had to be closed following the damaging course of Tropical Storm Elsa through the north-central region of Florida.
A popular hiking trail in Gainesville, the Turkey Creek Preserve, was among them. And after a long-awaited return, the loca hotspot is open again.
Despite the longer closure of three sections of the route, visitors are now able to use circular routes.
Guests are asked to carefully plan their route prior to driving.
