Miami Hurricanes Florida State rivalry continues in the top 10 nationally with prediction

Miami Hurricanes Florida State rivalry continues in the top 10 nationally with prediction

Rivals.Com’s Mike Farrell rates the Miami Hurricane Florida State rivalry as the seventh best national rivalry entering the 2021 season. Miami kicks off the 2021 season with a four-game winning streak against Florida State. A 2017 Hurricanes win in Tallahassee that ended seven straight defeats against the Seminoles.

When Miami won national championships, Florida State’s annual playing had an impact on the national polls. From 1987 to 1993, both Miami and Florida State were in the top 10 when the two teams played. Between 1978 and 2006, at least one of the two teams was rated when they played.

The Miami Hurricanes lead the all-time series 15-11 if both teams ranked, 10-4-0 if both teams are in the top 10 and have won all seven games against Florida State if they ranked and the Seminoles do not. Florida State holds a 9-2-0 record against unrated Miami if they are counted.

With three more wins against the rebuilding Seminoles, Miami would make up for the seven straight wins Florida State had before the current Miami streak for the longest in the series. Miami hasn’t lost in Tallahassee since 2015. Miami plays in Florida State on November 13th. The Hurricanes should be an unaffordable favorite in 2021.

Farrell’s Comments and Predictions on Miami vs. FSU 2021

7. Miami vs. Florida State

“Although it has lost a bit of its luster in recent years, there was a time when this was THE game of the year every season. And while most ‘Noles fans hope to never hear the words “Wide Right” again, this matchup produced some of the best games in the last 50 years.

Miami has definitely had the upper hand in recent years, winning four back-to-back matchups, and that should continue this season as FSU seeks to revive the magic of years gone by. “

Miami 27, State of Florida 17

A 27-17 win in Miami would probably be closer than Miami fans expect after the past two years. The Hurricanes won in 2019 by 27:10 ahead of their historic win last season. Miami held Florida State under 20 for the first time since a 13-10 loss in 2006 in 2019.

Last season also marked the first time Miami kept FSU under 20 points since a series of five games ended in 2006 with the Seminoles scoring less than 20. Miami enters the 2021 season and leads the all-time series against Florida State by 33-30. Miami, North Carolina will be the more critical ACC game in 2021.
