GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – A Gainesville man is behind bars after Alachua County MPs say he robbed and shot a 17-year-old who tried to buy him a gun.
Raua Oliveira David de Souza, 18, was arrested Sunday for robbery and heavy battery charges.
MPs say the victim, Antony Brown, met with Oliveira David de Souza at the Hidden Oaks RV park to buy a gun for $ 250.
They say Oliveira David de Souza took the money.
He refused to hand over the gun and shot Brown in the leg as he tried to withdraw the money and ran away.
Brown was taken to the North Florida Regional Medical Center.
