Mobile Pediatric Vaccination Clinic Will Stop In Southwest Florida To Vaccinate Children From 5 Years Old Against COVID-19 | News, sports, jobs

Golisano Children’s Hospital’s mobile pediatric vaccination clinic will stop in southwest Florida to vaccinate children ages 5 and up against COVID-19.

The mobile children’s vaccination clinic is specially tailored to children. It is manned by a pediatric nurse to administer the vaccine. A special Pain Ease spray is on hand to apply to the injection site to relieve the discomfort or fear of needles that children sometimes have. In addition, the mobile vaccination station has a pharmacist, paramedic or paramedic and a customer service team to support the process.

The mobile unit will be set up at schools and various community locations for parents who wish to have their children vaccinated. A parent or legal guardian must accompany a minor to the vaccination. The second dose is set for the same location or one nearby.

The mobile pediatric vaccination clinic is only within walking distance, and there is no cost for the COVID-19 vaccine that will be Pfizer. This week’s stops include:

• Thursday, November 18, 3-6pm, Franklin Park Elementary, 2323 Fort St., Fort Myers.

• Friday, November 19, 2-5pm, LPG Pediatrics Lehigh Acres, 260 Beth Stacey Blvd, Suite C, Lehigh Acres.

• Saturday, November 20, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, LPG Pediatrics Page Field, 4751 S Cleveland Ave., Fort Myers.

Established in 1994, Golisano Children’s Hospital is located at 9981 S HealthPark Drive in Fort Myers.
