A cold front hits the peninsula this afternoon and evening and will shake the forecast for the rest of the week.
Although this front will bring us a great drop in temperature and humidity, it is not a great producer of rain. The best this front can do in the rain is throw us some fast-paced showers tonight.
As the front moves away from us later tonight, the northwest winds behind the front will get stronger. This will result in cooler and drier air leaking south and our night lows rising into the low 60s tonight, which is considerably cooler than previous nights.
On Tuesday the sky conditions will be much clearer than today with a mostly sunny afternoon sky. You will surely notice the cooler air, however, as the noon numbers don’t peak until the lower and mid 70s!
Thanks to the movement of today’s front, conditions for Thanksgiving at home are looking fine and calm.
