Miami police are investigating an incident early Thursday morning in which a suspect broke into a car and forced the owner to drive to a different crime scene.
Officers arrived at the crime scene near North Miami Avenue and 62nd Street around 4:30 a.m. after receiving a phone call about a possible car theft.
At the scene, officers spoke to the driver who said he was on the 400 block on Northeast 32nd Street when an unidentified person with a gun got into his vehicle and ordered him to drive to the second crime scene on 62nd Street.
The suspect later escaped when he arrived at the second location. The driver was unharmed and spoke to the police.
The investigators did not provide any information about the suspect. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
