GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – A senior Alachua County activism leader goes west with a local union after nearly a decade.

In a Facebook post, Jeremiah Tattersall tells friends that he is leaving his post as co-chair of the Alachua County Labor Union. Tattersall says he is moving to the west coast after 16 years in Gainesville and eight years with the union.

He tells TV 20 that his greatest accomplishments during his time are the passage of Alachua County’s wage theft and Gainesville subsistence ordinances.
