“I want to be a Ray” Lee pitcher Logan Workman after the Tampa Draft Selection

Soddy Daisy, TN- (WDEF-TV) Lee Flames pitcher Logan Workman heard his name be mentioned by the Tampa Rays on Monday in Round 7 of the MLB Draft. Workman had a stellar senior season at Lee with 8-1 and an ERA under two.

Logan said, “We’ve all been talking since last year about this year being design year. That was the thing we were aiming for. I think it was a great experience. When I got the call from my agent, hey, Tampa got you. You want to do it. I said let’s go I want to be a ray I was told you have an elite conversion. You have a really good variety. A professional ball change. A move to the top division. Taking that and running with it was the only thing I focused on the most. “

Rick particularly enjoys the atmosphere, tradition, and drama of college football. He also likes to portray sports personalities and learn what drives them on and off the pitch. When he’s not reporting on sports, he watches Seinfield or David Letterman, plays golf, reads or exercises. What he likes about Chattanooga is the people’s passion for the sport.
