Miami Dade College and Bean Automotive Group are launching a new automotive technician training program on July 27th

Miami, July 23, 2021 – Miami Dade College (MDC) has a partnership with Bean Automotive Group, supported by Career Source South Florida and the Miami dade Beacon Council Miami Community Venturesto offer the first of the dealership Registered training as a vehicle technician. The one-year, 220-hour paid education offers free tuition, health insurance, books, and tools.

An official start will take place Tuesday, July 27th, at 8:30 a.m. at Lexus by West Kendall. Special guests include MDC President Madeline Pumariega, the Mayor of Miami-Dade County, Daniella Levine Cava, Rick Beasley, Executive Director of CareerSource South Florida, and executives from Bean Automotive.

The Bean Automotive Group Apprenticeship is sponsored by the MDC education program and combines classroom instruction and on-the-job training to prepare attendees to become automotive technician specialists. The practical training takes place at one of the Bean Automotive Group locations in Kendall. Upon graduation, trainees receive an education certificate from the Florida Department of Education.
