Anyone who pursues real estate today knows that there is a lot of money to be had with rapidly rising prices.

And that’s paying off for Southwest Florida Alico and his investors.

The listed breeder and land manager keeps its promise to increase shareholder returns.

The company uses property sales as part of a strategy to reduce debt and increase profits in order to generate higher returns for investors over the long term.

A trio of land businesses totaling nearly 12,500 acres raised approximately $ 15.7 million in June.

At the same time, the dividend was increased by 178% with the first payout this month.

Jack Wert pledged to remain Collier County’s first tourism director for five years.

Almost two decades later, the 78-year-old leader is retiring as head of the department and office that steer and oversee tourism marketing and promotion.

Starting out as the sole employee, Wert built the district office from scratch.

Today the agency employs 10 people, supplemented by a handful of external consultants who provide contractual services such as advertising, marketing and public relations, research and international representation.

Wert is proud to have grown two important markets: sports and international, which hardly existed at the time.

The office now has full-time international representation in Europe, the UK and Latin America. And sports tourism has grown dramatically, like the FBU Top Gun Showcase that ended this week.
