Super Bowl Champs Tampa Bay Bucs visits the White House

Patch News

TAMPA, FL – The Super Bowl winners Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be at the White House on Tuesday for a belated congratulatory visit to President Joe Biden.

The last time a Super Bowl winning team was invited to the White House was in 2017.

James Palmer, of the NFL Network, said a number of the Buccaneers will be attending the visit with Biden, although he said the final list of players is still ongoing.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said during her briefing on Monday that she also doesn’t have a list of participating players.

Tampa Bay won Super Bowl LV in February by defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

After Biden canceled visits due to the coronavirus pandemic, he has resumed the tradition of opening the White House to championship sports teams.

Biden welcomed World Series Champion Los Angeles Dodgers earlier this month.

During the Dodgers’ visit, Biden said he was trying to get back to normal.

“It takes a team to endure one of the most challenging seasons, one of the most challenging years in our nation’s history,” Biden told the Dodgers. “I think we found out that we need exercise more than we ever realized.”

If you don’t have tickets for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers home games this season at Raymond James Stadium, you’re out of luck.

The Bucs announced in June that all games were sold out, starting with the team’s first preseason game against the Cincinatti Bengals on August 14.

The reigning champions open the regular NFL season on Thursday, September 9th at 8:20 pm against the Dallas Cowboys.

All games have reopened to full audiences after being limited in capacity during the pandemic.

The Bucs said the decision to bring the 65,000-seat stadium to full capacity was made after consulting the Tampa Sports Authority and meets the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s guidelines for post-pandemic activities.

Additionally, fans who have received a COVID-19 vaccination will not have to wear a face, although those who have chosen not to stay vaccinated will have to wear masks.

Every available seat in the standing, premium and club areas as well as in the luxury suites for the entire home slate was given to existing or new season ticket members. In response to the unprecedented demand, the Buccaneers have also introduced a waiting list for fans wishing to purchase season tickets in future seasons.

“This is a significant achievement for the organization and our fans,” said Brian Ford, Buccaneers chief operating officer. “We have worked closely with the Tampa Sports Authority to bring back the best of the NFL fans and we look forward to playing in a fully packed Raymond James Stadium next season. The entire season is sold out before we even get there reach the training camp. ” is proof of our passionate and loyal fan base. “

The newly created waiting list for Season Pass members requires a refundable deposit of $ 100, which can also be used for future purchases. Click here or call the Buccaneer Ticket Office at 1-866-582-BUCS (2827) for more information.

The Bucs are preparing to begin their training camp schedule this month at the AdventHealth Training Center at One Buccaneer Place.

There will be no access to the general public, but season pass members, luxury suite owners, stadium club members, premium seat holders and sponsors can participate in the exercises, which are prioritized by tenure.

All exercises of the team take place at 8.30 a.m. on the primary exercise areas of the AdventHealth Training Center and have covered grandstands for those present.

A digital ticket is required for entry to all training units and is available to all members via the Ticketmaster Account Manager. There is a $ 5 reservation fee per ticket, with proceeds going to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Foundation.

“With fans returning to training camp and a sold-out crowd for the upcoming season at Raymond James Stadium, the excitement about Buccaneers football is bigger than ever,” said Ford. “The energy the fans bring to our team creates one special atmosphere that feeds our players and we can’t wait to see this passion again. “

The team’s first training camp will take place on Sunday, July 25th.

For the first time on Saturday, July 31st, the players will be allowed to wear pads that will take place as part of the league-wide initiative Training Camp: Back Together Saturday. The team will also host joint training sessions with the Tennessee Titans on Tuesday, August 17 and Wednesday, August 18.

In addition to the exercises open to Season Pass members, the team will have exclusive viewing opportunities for selected groups.

On Friday, August 6th, the Buccaneers are hosting a special practice show for Women of Red – the team’s women-centric fan club.

The Bucs’ annual Military Day takes place on Thursday, August 5th, when the team welcomes military personnel for an exclusive excursion and tour of the AdventHealth Training Center.
