TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Tampa police are investigating after a 4-year-old died in a shootout.
Police said the shooting occurred along Hillsborough Avenue near 43rd Street.

Police say the suspect shot a car while driving down Hillsborough Avenue with a child in it. The child was hit by the bullet and taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
Although the investigation is still in its infancy, Tampa police say this shooting doesn’t appear to be accidental.
