Former Alabama wide receiver TJ Simmons will be looking for a new NFL opportunity. According to reporter Rick Stroud, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will forego Simmons in the final round of roster cuts.

A native of Pinson, Alabama, originally signed with UA as part of Crimson Tide’s 2016 recruiting course. After 12 games as a freshman, Simmons moved to West Virginia. He put the 2017 season on hold and then played 30 games for the Mountaineers in the 2018-20 seasons, starting at 21.
Simmons signed with the Bucs as an undrafted free agent in May. He had 86 catches for 1,197 yards and 9 touchdowns at WVU.
