Gainesville to see cooler weather, higher chance of rain later in the week

Gainesville weather for the first week of November will begin sunny and warm before the second half of the week brings higher chances of rain and cooler temperatures day and night, according to the seven-day Jacksonville National Weather Service forecast from the Monday office.

Overnight lows for the week are predicted in the 1940s.

Here’s a look at the forecast for this week:

Tuesday: Sunny, with patchy fog before 9am, high temperatures around 79 and north winds 3-6 miles per hour.

Tuesday: Mostly clear, with low temperatures around 58 and a light northeast wind.

Wednesday: Sunny, with high temperatures around 79 and northeast winds 3-6 mph.

Wednesday night: Mostly clear, with low temperatures close to 60.

Thursday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms and high temperatures around 80.

Thursday night: Mostly cloudy, with a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms, and low temperatures close to 59.

Friday: Mostly cloudy, with a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms and high temperatures around 69.

Friday night: Mostly cloudy, with temperatures low around 49.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with high temperatures around 66.

Saturday night: Mostly clear, with low temperatures close to 45.
