More than 1,600 wreaths needed for wreathes across America

More than 1,600 wreaths needed for wreathes across America

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) – Wreaths Across America is seeking help laying wreaths on veteran’s graves in Tallahassee National Cemetery.

So far this year over 500 wreaths have been collected, but 1,600 wreaths are still missing.

This year, 400 new graves were added at Tallahassee National Cemetery, making the need greater than ever.

You can find the information to sponsor a wreath on the Wreaths Across America website.

“Everyone in this cemetery is either someone who has served or is a loved one,” said Captain Curtis Hooks, who directs the Tallahassee Wreathes Across America program. “Each of these guys wrote a blank check to the US for an amount up to their lifetime. The least we can do is honor her grave at Christmas time. “
