TALLAHASSEE, Florida (WTXL) – Celebrate history and bring the community together!
That’s what Leon County and several local agencies are doing. They are working together to start a new Downtown Heritage Trail. A trail that shows 13 different historically significant sites in Leon County.
On this weekend, a community walk will start at the beginning of the path, which will stop at five of the locations.
Katie Kole, senior marketing director for the Leon County’s Division of Tourism, said this was a great way to see what the city has to offer.
“It’s a great opportunity to meet with community leaders and encourage residents and visitors alike to explore these amazing places right here in our backyard,” said Kole.
The guided hike to introduce the new trail begins on November 6th at 10am at the Walker Library.
