TALLAHASSEE, Florida (WTXL) – From now until November 6, history and aviation fans can travel back in time with the “Rise Above” exhibit at Tallahassee International Airport.
The exhibit features the Tuskegee Airmen, the first black military pilots in the United States. You were responsible for protecting American bombers from German aircraft during World War II.
Dr. AJ Brickler, who helped bring the exhibit to Tallahassee, said he would like everyone who see the WWII aircraft on display to remember the heroism and courage of the aviators.
“In addition to the Tuskegee Airmen, there were groups of other separate units, the 761st said Dr. Brickler.
You can find the exhibition in the Flightline Hangar at Tallahassee International Airport every day until November 6th from 12pm to 4pm.
