3 players the Miami Dolphins could trade for

Let’s get back to the offensive line. Liam Eichenberg and Jesse Davis were far from ideal at either tackle spot. Eichenberg deserves more than a few games as a rookie, but Davis may need to be replaced.

Enter Dillard.

The Eagles drew the 6-foot-5 tackle in the first round of the 2019 draft from Washington State to eventually replace Jason Peters, but that didn’t exactly work out for Philadelphia. He tore his biceps before the start of his sophomore season and missed the whole year.

In 2021, Philadelphia gave Jordan Mailata, their new left tackle, a four-year deal worth $ 64 million, and with Lane Johnson still with right tackle, Dillard was more of a swing guy.

Miami could bring in Dillard and put him on what they think he is better suited to and let Eichenberg play the opposite. This could likely solve at least some of the problems for the next year or two until they had to decide about Dillard’s future.

Potential value: A choice from the fifth round
